Allister began his career in consumer marketing at Kimberly Clark, rising from trainee to Marketing Director in under a decade. Managing flagship brands such as Andrex gave him a deep understanding of customer behaviour, brand strategy and commercial leadership. Earlier, his year as a market research analyst at Gallaher Group strengthened his analytical skills and introduced him to the strategic processes behind global product development. His education at KEDGE Business School and Middlesex University, where he earned a First Class degree in European Marketing, laid the academic foundations that shaped his early thinking. These formative experiences gave him the broad commercial grounding that would later guide his work in the fast evolving technology sector.

Allister joined Microsoft at a time when digital transformation was reshaping the modern workplace. Over eight years he held senior positions including Group Marketing Communications Lead and Consumer Marketing Communications Lead, before being appointed Head of Digital Marketing Strategy. He championed the early adoption of social media and emerging martech tools and played a central role in establishing Microsoft’s digital capability across the UK. In 2012 he founded Wild Orange Media, where he developed the ReadyAlready® framework now used by teams worldwide. His Award for Client Service Excellence in 2019 reflected his commitment to delivering high impact experiences for clients such as Balfour Beatty, Bosch, UBS and GE HealthCare.
