Dan Radecki

Dan Radecki is an internationally recognised neuroscience and psychology keynote speaker, renowned for applying brain science to leadership, performance and organisational culture. He is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at the Academy of Brain-based Leadership and President and Head of Clinical Development at Object Pharma, roles that place him at the intersection of cutting-edge neuroscience and executive decision-making. Dan is widely known for his work on psychological safety and human behaviour at work, and for co-authoring the influential book ‘Psychological Safety: The Key to Happy, High-Performing People and Teams’, now regarded as essential reading for modern leaders seeking sustainable performance.

Dan’s early career was rooted in medicine, academia and clinical research, giving him an unusually deep foundation for a leadership speaker. He began his professional journey in clinical research roles at The Institute of Living and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, before moving into academia as Instructor of Medicine at Kent State University. Alongside this work, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Psychobiology, and a PhD in Neuroscience, building a rigorous understanding of how the brain drives behaviour, emotion and performance. These formative experiences shaped Dan’s ability to translate complex neuroscience into language that leaders, teams and organisations can immediately apply.

As his career progressed, Dan moved into senior global pharmaceutical leadership, holding key positions at Pfizer and later AbbVie, where he spent more than 17 years as Executive Director of Neuroscience Research and Development. In this role, he led international research programmes across multiple therapeutic areas, while also building and leading high-performing scientific teams. A defining milestone came in 2009 when Dan became Lead Professor and Director of Education at the NeuroLeadership Institute, where he created the world’s first university-accredited Master’s programme in the Neuroscience of Leadership. Over seven years, he taught hundreds of senior leaders across more than 40 countries, firmly establishing his reputation as a global authority on brain-based leadership.

Today, Dan is hired as a keynote speaker for his rare ability to combine scientific credibility with engaging, practical delivery. His speaking topics include psychological safety, the neuroscience of leadership, non-conscious bias, stress and resilience, behaviour change, diversity and inclusion, collaboration and creativity. These topics matter because they directly affect performance, wellbeing and culture in modern organisations. Audiences value Dan’s clear thinking, real-world examples and evidence-based insights, leaving with tools they can apply immediately. His work continues to influence leaders across business, healthcare and education, making him a powerful and trusted voice on how understanding the brain transforms leadership and results.
