Daniel Hulme

Daniel Hulme is an internationally recognised authority on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. As CEO of Satalia, he has delivered AI driven solutions to global organisations including PwC and Tesco, applying advanced optimisation and machine learning to complex operational challenges. He also serves as Chief AI Officer at WPP, where he defines and scales AI capability across the organisation. A prominent keynote speaker for Google and TEDx platforms, Daniel addresses AI ethics, decentralisation, organisational design and the metaverse with clarity and technical depth.

Daniel’s academic foundation is rooted in computer science and applied mathematics. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science with Cognitive Science and an engineering doctorate in Computational Complexity from UCL. During his studies, he ran an independent ICT consultancy for London based SMEs before becoming a Research Fellow at UCL. Recognised as a Kauffman Global Scholar, he later worked across innovation roles at Cisco, Synecticsworld and Hypios, embedding AI within corporate and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

In 2012, Daniel became an Advisor at Patronus and subsequently led 12BT, a prominent startup incubator, supporting early stage innovation. He has advised the UK Home Office, City AI and the UAE National AI Strategy. Alongside his industry leadership, he has held academic posts including Lecturer at the London School of Economics and Director of UCL’s Applied AI MSc. He co founded Faculty at Singularity University and served as Entrepreneur in Residence at UCL. Most recently, he was elected a Founding Fellow of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences.
