José Morey

José Morey is a physician, artificial intelligence expert and technology strategist, widely recognised as the world’s first Intergalactic Doctor. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ad Astra Media LLC, Chief Medical Innovation Officer for Liberty BioSecurity and a Senior Advisor for NASA, he has become one of the leading voices on the convergence of healthcare, artificial intelligence, aerospace and emerging technologies. After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree and completing an internship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, José trained as a radiologist at Staten Island University Hospital before joining the University of Pennsylvania Health System as a Musculoskeletal Fellow. He later practised as a radiologist whilst building an impressive career in health informatics and medical innovation. His expertise led to roles as a Medical Consultant for Stifel Nicolaus, Senior Medical Scientist on IBM’s Watson Medical Sieve Project, Associate Chief Health Officer for IBM Watson Health, Medical Technology and Artificial Intelligence Judge for NASA iTech, and Special Advisor to the Director at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Today, alongside his work with NASA, he advises organisations including MIT, the Forbes Technology Council, the US-Polish Alliance for Innovation, the University of Virginia and the African Innovation Alliance.
