Aisha Suleiman’s Biography:
Aisha Suleiman is the Head of Culture and Inclusion for IPG Mediabrands EMEA, a global inclusion strategist and an influential keynote speaker shaping organisational culture across 21 markets. She is widely recognised for founding Amazon’s Black Employee Network in the UK, a network that transformed Amazon’s diversity landscape and earned the prestigious Amazon Diversity and Inclusion Catalyst Award. As a speaker, Aisha brings clarity, warmth and authority, helping businesses understand how inclusive cultures drive performance and long term growth.
Aisha’s journey began with a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management from the University of Wollongong in Dubai, followed by a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership at Regent’s University London. Those early experiences shaped her interest in organisational behaviour and people systems. She entered HR roles that gave her a close view of recruitment, culture and employee experience, including supporting large scale hiring and streamlining workforce processes. Her move to Amazon Web Services in 2016 marked a turning point. She progressed to Education Program Manager, overseeing a global programme that enhanced cloud computing skills for students across Europe and Sub Saharan Africa. She created the AWS Educate Challenge, managed cross regional partnerships and delivered sessions that upskilled more than 1,500 young people in AI, robotics and cloud computing.
While at Amazon, Aisha founded the Black Employee Network in 2017, which grew into a major force for equity within the organisation. She led initiatives such as senior leadership shadowing, mentorship schemes for Black and ethnic minority students and community partnerships that expanded opportunities for young people. She also collaborated with global teams to deliver Amazon’s first race and ethnicity conference in Europe. Beyond Amazon, she extended her impact into sport as an Inclusion Board Member for the Rugby Football League, helping to guide the Tackle It Plan and strengthen inclusion practices across the sport. In 2021 Aisha founded The Inclusive Culture, a consultancy helping organisations build effective employee networks and embed inclusion into daily practice. She also continues to run The World In Her Words, a platform empowering women to navigate their careers with confidence.
