Christian Majgaard

Christian Majgaard is a former top executive at LEGO, recognised worldwide for his leadership in branding, marketing and business innovation. As the company’s Head of Global Brand and Business Development, he helped guide LEGO’s expansion from a Danish toy maker into a global powerhouse. After completing his MSc at Aarhus Business School and executive studies at IMD, he joined LEGO in the 1970s. His formative years at the company included roles in international market research and EU marketing, giving him a close understanding of customer behaviour and product development. These early responsibilities laid the groundwork for his later leadership, where he rose through the ranks as Vice President, Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President, eventually joining LEGO’s global executive team.

During his 25 years with LEGO, Christian led some of the most transformative projects in the company’s history. He oversaw LEGO’s first global theme parks, helped launch the robotics division through LEGO Mindstorms, and developed significant entertainment partnerships including Harry Potter and Star Wars. His team pioneered LEGO’s first branded retail stores and strengthened the company’s commitment to learning and digital innovation. Alongside his corporate work, Christian became Chairman of Nord Modules and Chairman of Rosa Danica, served as a Guest Professor at the University of Ljubljana, and supported organisations ranging from Deloitte to Disney with strategic guidance. He has also authored ‘13 Hints for Tomorrow’s Brand Builders’ and contributed to leadership programmes around the world.
