Danielle Brown’s Biography:
Danielle Brown MBE is one of Britain’s most accomplished Paralympic archers, celebrated for becoming a double Paralympic gold medallist and one of the leading figures in disability sport. Rising to prominence after winning gold in the Women’s Individual Compound event at the Beijing Paralympic Games, Danielle cemented her legacy with a second Paralympic gold medal at the London Games, alongside Commonwealth success and a series of honours recognising her contribution to British sport. Her story of resilience, elite performance and overcoming adversity has made her one of the UK’s most respected motivational speakers, regularly hired by organisations seeking insight into high performance, leadership, confidence and achieving success under pressure.
Danielle balanced elite sport alongside education and a growing professional career, becoming widely admired for her determination both on and off the field of play. Following her international sporting success, she developed a career spanning marketing, consultancy and youth engagement roles. She served as Marketing Manager for The Kaleidoscope Group of Companies and later became Field Marketing Senior Specialist for Equinix. Danielle was appointed MBE in the New Year Honours for Services to Archery and awarded the Freedom of the City of London. She was also made Freewoman of the District of Craven and received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from the University of Leicester, which was additionally named the Danielle Brown Sports Centre in her honour. Danielle has represented and supported major organisations including BRIT, The Mintridge Foundation, Get Kids Going! and Disability Sport Yorkshire as an ambassador.
