Alex Stamos

Alex Stamos is a renowned cybersecurity expert, technology leader and trusted authority on online safety, trust and security. Best known for serving as Chief Security Officer at Facebook, Yahoo and SentinelOne, Alex has spent more than two decades at the forefront of protecting digital infrastructure and combating emerging cyber threats. During his tenure at Facebook, he built the company’s first counter-terrorism capability, strengthened data protections for billions of users and led responses to sophisticated foreign disinformation campaigns. In 2025, he became Chief Security Officer of Corridor, a pioneering startup focused on addressing the security and safety challenges associated with AI coding. Alex began his career in 2001 as a Security Engineer at Loudcloud, where he developed expertise in network and application security. His reputation continued to grow as he moved into senior executive roles, becoming Chief Information Security Officer at Yahoo in 2014 before joining Facebook as Chief Security Officer in 2015.
