Emma Pears

Emma Pears is a best selling author, innovation strategist and Founding Director of Solomon Hunt, known for her clear and uplifting approach to leadership and wellbeing. She speaks with a calm authority shaped by years of working across boardrooms, studios and world class stages. Her most notable recent achievement is the success of her book ‘What Does It Matter?: Live with Less Stress and More Joy’, which was named one of HELLO! Magazine’s Best Motivational Self Help Books of 2024. Emma brings a rare mix of academic insight, corporate experience and creative storytelling to every event.

Emma began her career in music after earning a BA Hons in Music with a focus on composition. This early chapter set the tone for her creative direction and she went on to become an award winning songwriter, building a portfolio of work recorded and broadcast around the world. She later gained Qualified Teacher Status at Canterbury Christ Church University, which gave her practical grounding in communication and human behaviour. Her academic path continued at the University of Cambridge where she completed an MPhil in Educational Research as a full ESRC Scholar while also serving as Captain of the Clare Hall Women’s Rowing Team. These formative experiences shaped her analytical style, her interest in people and her ability to engage diverse audiences with confidence and clarity.

In 2013 Emma founded Solomon Hunt, a consultancy delivering leadership development, innovation strategy and performance coaching. Over more than a decade she has designed programmes for major clients including HSBC UK, Salesforce, British Telecom, Santander, M and G Prudential, Day Lewis Pharmacy, Ministry of Justice, London Fire Brigade and the NHS. Her background in performance has taken her to iconic venues such as Wembley Arena, the O2 Arena and the Berlin Philharmonie, where she has performed and conducted. Her work as a songwriter continues to feature Grammy winning artists and leading global music companies. In 2025 she expanded her ‘What Does It Matter?’ methodology, helping organisations adopt practical tools to ease pressure, strengthen decision making and support resilience.

People hire Emma for her ability to translate complex ideas into calm and actionable guidance. She speaks on living with less stress and more joy, navigating change, paradoxical thinking, teamwork and the everyday decisions that determine wellbeing. Her message lands because it is rooted in lived experience, academic research and stories that stay with audiences long after the event, such as completing the London Marathon on a broken leg. Emma offers a grounded and thoughtful voice for organisations that want to support healthier thinking, stronger leadership and a more intentional working culture.
