Tim Flagg

Tim Flagg is the co-founder and CEO of UKAI, the UK’s only trade association dedicated to the artificial intelligence industry, positioning him at the forefront of AI leadership in Britain. Tim is widely recognised as a compelling speaker who helps organisations understand the strategic, ethical and commercial implications of AI. Tim began his career managing the BBC’s Natural History brand before joining NBCUniversal as Director of Marketing EMEA, where he launched and scaled television channel brands across international markets. He later moved to Hutchinson Whampoa, leading advertising for the INQ smartphone across multiple regions. Transitioning into digital transformation, Tim became EU Marketing Lead at Zipcar, building high-performing digital teams, before serving as Managing Director at the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing with AVADO, where he went on to found The Academy of Digital Business Leaders. He later became a fractional Marketing Director at The Marketing Centre and co-founded EntityX, applying AI to targeted marketing. He also co-founded Intelliquence, focused on expanding access to AI tools, before establishing UKAI.

Alongside his executive career, Tim has contributed to the advancement of AI through advisory and thought leadership roles. He has served as Non-Executive Director of Greater Than, an AI-driven organisation focused on road safety and sustainability. Tim has authored influential reports on AI in Britain and is currently writing his forthcoming book, ‘British AI’. He also hosts The Business of AI podcast for UKAI and has previously led podcast series for the Institute of Directors and Clickz.
